Why else would he put his name to this unnecessary new product<\/a>: a tool to scoop out avocados. Yeah, start laughing now, cuz that is one stupid invention. Not as ridiculous as the taco holder<\/a> the good folks at LATaco<\/a> brought to our attention, but certainly in the same league. Alton Brown, hater of the Uni-tasker<\/a> tool, ought to kick his ass. It’s sad mostly because Bayless<\/a> actually has some decent Mexican cookbooks, he really should know better than promote this gringo product. I’ll make you a bet he doesn’t even use this drawer space waster, it looks as if you have to learn a new way to use a bent spoon, certainly more effort than necessary. Like the rest of the world, he most likely uses a spoon..<\/p>\n

..because its so easy any menso can do it. Cut the aguacate in half like this with a knife, don’t go out looking for a damn Avocado Slicer Machine. You can get the pit out easily by tapping the sharp edge of the knife into it and then twisting it out.<\/p>\n

Shove a spoon in between the skin and the meat of the fruit, like this.<\/p>\n

Work it around the rest of the fruit. This isn’t some delicate origami fold, con ganas cabrones! You’re probably just going to mash the hell out of it anyways, bruise it up if you must.<\/p>\n
