I was watching this Julieta Venegas video clip and was surprised to see Anita Tijoux of Makiza making a cameo, que padre! Don’t know who that is? Check out the clip below.

I love her rapping style and especially that indigena accent, it’s damn seductive. And the lyrics to this song are quite powerful as well, surely relevant to the Chicano experience:

And in related news, Ceci Bastida has moved on from being a part of Julieta’s band and is giving it a go on her own. They were both at times members of Tijuana No! and the video clip above is one of my favorites.

Though my favorite song is still Spanish Bombs.
