Spotted near the LH library, someone has taken the time to showcase their kids handiwork with the crayons, placing it high on this street pole so that nobody will come by and tear it down. If you click on the pic above you will see this kid is learning lots of things. Here’s the text:
Calm: I was calm when my mom sed said we were going to Mexico.
Assistant: I was my moms assistant to wash.
Librarian: The librarian was looking for parent to read a book.
Mistake: I made a mistake on home worke.
I like how the kid was able to stay calm when the news hit they were going to Mexico, long a favorite threat of parents wanting to keep the kids in line.
Now even more people will get to see this handiwork on this here online fridge.
Jesus, that’s odd. And they stapled the shit out of it, too.
Chavo, i like how you present us with the ideas which otherwise would go unnoticed. it reminds me of the children’s art i see displayed at the local supermarkets, with all their forced imitations of “proper” societally-defined artists.
this- this is much more interesting. guerilla children’s art anyone?
I also like how it kinda looks like un octopus palido. or one of those ugly dolls hipster DIYers like to make.
why you need the internet when you have electricity poles!
So, judging from the tags this person is selling something or providing some kind of service. Did you figure out what they are trying to sell or provide?
Actually, the tags are from a flyer underneath.
“Stop dating cholos or else we’re moving to Mexico!”
“Stop being so vaga[1] or else we’re moving to Mexico!”
– A few of the many things my mother used to say to me in the 1990’s when threatening to move to Mexico [2].
[1] I don’t know how to translate “vaga” into English.
[2] But in Spanish, she doesn’t speak much English.
i drove thru here the other day and saw this, i was telling my GF that you dedicated a post to this, she just looked at me weird lol.
