Que Buscas?
Let these fine feathered friends show you a thing or two about how to approach the coming year: Fuck It All! Even when forces are working against you, aka the pigeon “proofing” in their case, let your will find the way. You are going to encounter roadblocks, assholes that are miserable and want to make you miserable, situations that seem to go from bad to worse. There will be stories of how bad it got. Expect it.
But if these stupid pigeons can muster the intelligence to literally shit on the forces that are working against them, then you, a human being with enough brain power to read this post can surely find a way to overcome the inevitable adversity. I mean seriously, yer not a bird brain are you?
Happy New Year, Stupid!
If you know anything about me, you’ll know I hate Crapaoke. Yes, hate. During a recent torture session, which I suffer thru only because some friends seems to like it, I at least caught a nice visual on the screen, something to make me think of better days ahead. Pay no attention to the BAD message on top, that’s clearly a government mole injecting some nefarious propaganda!
I was walking by the Rite-Aid the other day when I noticed these weird alien patterns. It took me too long to figure out this was the artwork of some gum removal street crew. I hope they get a gallery show soon!

Finally, an end to this lousy online tamal making workshop. Hey, you get what you pay for! It took me forever but I’m okay with the way I documented my process, though I’m still hoping to get the red sauce tamales and their particular fillings posted online soon. The world can wait.

There were rumors that it wouldn’t happen this year, some sort of infighting or some budget issues with the Neighborhood Council. But it looks like something was figured out because it did go on as usual. (Sadly, that wasn’t the case for this years East LA Xmas parade, it didn’t happen.)
So yeah, I went.
