Stray Dogs of Mexico

I’m not a dog person. At all. I actually kinda hate them. Well, mostly cuz they bark at me when I go by, hiding in a corner of a yard waiting for the perfect moment to make their woofing racket when I will be most scared. That shit is mean, you stupid dogs. On this recent trip to Mexico I saw a bunch of fairly nice dogs, aka ones that aren’t barking at me. There seems to be lots of strays there, but just like the humans, they seem to mind their own business trying to figure out how to get by.

I took a few pics, nomas por nomas. Wow, what fun.

Que pasa en LH?

I was away for just a spell, but I’m back, safe and unsound in Los Angeles. I have lots of stuff to share, hopefully soon (haha!) but I figured I’d take a quick look at what’s happening NOW in the big ol’ LH. Alot can change in just a few weeks. Why, it suddenly feels like the sun is setting super early, or is that just me? No matter, I’ll light me up some candles and work til the crack of dawn to get this important information out to the world!

BTW, if you lost a Pitt Bull DOG, somebody found it.

Smart & Final Extra – Now Open

All signs of the old Vons are gone, the only thing that remains are the bad memories. And in its place: yet another corporate market. Will it be better? Can we expect something else besides Cup o’ Noodles sales? Hmm, I’m gonna speculate no. Still, I know I will end up shopping here just out of convenience, so might as well go take a look at what’s happening. They had the Grand Opening on Wednesday, so this market is fresh! Let’s see something else.

Yard Sale?

When is a yard sale not a yard sale? When there’s no yard? When it’s indoors? It is curious that a storefront with many booths inside (aka indoor swapmeet) would start using the term yard sale for their method of selling consumer goods. Maybe its because in Lincoln Heights the daily yard sale reigns supreme, for both those looking to score some deals and those hoping to unload some stuff while they make some cash.
